Founder's Story

From Skills to Opportunity. From Opportunity to Independence.

Sreedhar BodduFounder, Orange2Green

Sreedhar Boddu, Founder of Orange2Green, brings more than 24 years of experience in skill development, livelihood programs and social-sector initiatives, with more than 13 years dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

His journey began in the field of education and technology, working as a computer faculty and IT trainer. Over the years, this early experience evolved into a much larger purpose: using education, skills, employment and technology to create meaningful opportunities for people who are often excluded from mainstream systems.

A Journey Built on Inclusion

Over two decades, Sreedhar has worked with organizations including Dr. Reddy's, Youth4Jobs, Dialogue in the Dark and Magic Bus India, progressively taking on leadership responsibilities across training, operations, program management and regional operations.

His work with Persons with Disabilities became a defining part of this journey.

From establishing training centers and developing PwD-focused programs to building employer partnerships and creating placement opportunities, he has worked across multiple states to help bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. His experience includes enabling employment opportunities across Retail, E-commerce, Hospitality, IT and ITES, while also conducting employer sensitization programs to encourage more inclusive workplaces.

At Youth4Jobs, he managed PwD skill development and placement programs across several states and contributed to initiatives such as WISE, Grassroot Academy and College Connect. He also played a role in establishing 26 training centers under Grassroot Academy across four states and helped transition training operations to a pan-India model during the COVID-19 period.

At Dialogue in the Dark, he was the first employee and helped establish operations and training centers from the ground up, focusing on programs for Persons with Disabilities. His responsibilities included team building, training delivery, employer engagement, job fairs and awareness initiatives.

His journey has also involved working closely with government departments, CSR organizations, NGOs, employers and funding agencies, including partnerships associated with organizations such as Axis Bank, Accenture, Capgemini, Bosch, SBI, Kotak, Tech Mahindra, HSBC, NASSCOM, IBM, FedEx and American Express.

Why Orange2Green?

After years of working at the intersection of skills, employment, disability inclusion, technology and organizational development, Sreedhar recognized that inclusion requires more than awareness.

It requires action.

It requires accessible environments, trained people, sensitized employers, relevant skills, strong partnerships and pathways that connect individuals to real opportunities. This belief became the foundation for Orange2Green.

Orange

Opportunity, Energy, Courage and Action.

Green

Growth, Independence, Sustainability and Progress.

The journey from Orange to Green represents what Orange2Green strives to create: a pathway from opportunity to empowerment, and from empowerment to independence.

A Founder's Belief

Sreedhar believes that Persons with Disabilities should not be defined by limitations, but recognized for their abilities, aspirations and potential.

His experience across grassroots programs, government partnerships, CSR initiatives, training institutions and employers has shaped a simple philosophy:

Inclusion is not charity. Accessibility is not an option. Employment is not just a placement. Skills are not just certificates.

They are pathways to confidence, dignity, participation and independence.

Orange2Green therefore aims to bring together people, organizations, employers, educational institutions, government bodies and communities to build practical and sustainable pathways for inclusion.

The Vision Ahead

Today, the vision of Orange2Green is to take this experience forward, combining social impact with skills, technology, accessibility, employment and organizational development.

The goal is not simply to create programs. It is to create lasting opportunities: to help organizations become more inclusive, to help individuals become more skilled and employable, and to remove barriers to participation.

And ultimately, to build a society where every person has the opportunity to learn, work, contribute and live with dignity.
